If you planned to visit any time soon Dublin, just give up the idea because you might become one of the thousands passengers that were left stranded on July 9 and also the next day, which means today. Dublin Airport was faced to divert and even cancel over 200 flights due to a radar malfunction.
We should be grateful to the controllers who preferred to cancel or divert flights than jeopardize passengers’ life. The problem with the radar is not new as last month in several occasions it failed and that was the main reasons for the arrival of the engineers of Thales, the radar system’s supplier, in Dublin at the beginning of this week. Yesterday, the problem came up again when the radar was unable to show the call signs used to identify aircrafts and their positions, route. At first they tried to land planes through other means, but because of the traffic created, controllers were forced to shut down runaway to all flights, according to the spokeswoman of the Irish Aviation Authority Lilian Cassin.
There was even an emergency meeting that tried to save as many flights as possible, stated the Dublin Airport Authority. Also the engineers of Thales will work even during the night so that the problem will be solved. However, in spite of all this efforts the Irish Aviation authority is still criticized for not solving the matter before getting into the current estate in which hundreds of passengers were diverted to other Irish airports like Belfast, Cork or Shannon and then obligated to travel 4 or 6 hours to get back to Dublin.
As it is, the radar’s malfunction couldn’t take place in another month but exactly in July when tourist travel increases. Up to this point all airports are full of aircrafts and expect the result of the Thales’ experts. More to come…

Si usted quería visitar Dublín en el futuro cercano, deje la idea porque en otro caso podría hacerse uno de los miles de pasajeros que estaron estancados en el aeropuerto el 9 de julio y también al día siguiente, que quiere decir hoy. El Aeropuerto de Dublín tuvo que desviar y aún cancelar más de 200 vuelos debido a un mal funcionamiento del sistema de radar.
Deberíamos agradecir a los controladores que prefirieron cancelar o desviar vuelos en vez de ponen en peligro la vidas de los pasajeros. El problema con el radar no es nuevo, como el mes pasado falló en varias ocasiones y son los motivos principales de la llegada de los ingenieros de Thales, los proveedores del sistema de radar, en Dublín al principio de esta semana. Ayer, el problema pasó otra vez cuando el radar fue incapaz de mostrar los signos de llamada que solían identificar los aviones y sus posiciones. Al principio trataron de aterrizar los aviones por otro medio, pero debido al tráfico creado, estaron forzados a cerrar todas las pistas y cancelar los vuelos, según la portavoz de Irish Aviation Authority Lilian Cassin.
Hubo aún un encuentro de emergencia que trató de salvar tantos vuelos como posible, declaró la Autoridad de Aeropuerto de Dublín. También los ingenieros de Thales trabajarán aún durante la noche para resolver el problema cuanto antes. Sin embargo, a pesar de todos estos esfuerzos, the Irish Aviation authority es criticada por no solucionar el problema antes del estado corriente en el cual cientos de pasajeros fueron desviados a otros aeropuertos irlandeses como Belfast, Corcho o Shannon y luego obligados a viajar 4 o 6 horas para regresar a Dublín.
Como es, el mal funcionamiento del radar no podía ocurrir en otro mes, sino exactamente en julio cuando aumenta la cantidad de los turistas. Hasta este punto todos los aeropuertos están llenos de aviones y esperan el resultado de los expertos de Thales.

Wenn Sie in der nächsten Zeit vorhaben, Dublin zu besuchen, sollten Sie veilleicht die Idee aufgeben, da Sie bald zu tausenden Passagieren gehören können, die am 9. Juli und am nächsten Tag dort hilflos gelassen wurden. Der Dubliner Flughafen musste außer Betrieb gesetzt werden und sogar mehr als 200 Flüge aufgrund einer Funktionsstörung des Radars absagen.
Wir sollten den Kontrolleuren dankbar sein, dass sie lieber die Flüge absagten oder umleiteten, als das Leben der Passagiere unter Gefahr zu setzen. Das Problem mit dem Radar ist keine Neuigkeit, da es bereits letzten Monat in verschiedenen Situationen ausfiel. Das war der hauptsächliche Anlass für Ingenieure von Thales, dem Lieferanten des Radarsystems, nach Dublin am Anfang dieser Woche zu fahren. Am 8.Juli tauchte das Problem wieder auf, wenn das Radar unfähig war, die Rufsignale zu zeigen, die man zur Identifizierung von Flugzeugen und ihrer Positionen und Trassen benutzt. Zuerst versuchten sie, den Flugzeugen bei der Landung mit anderen Mitteln zu helfen, aber wegen des heftigen Verkehrs, der dadurch entstand, wurden die Kontrolleure gezwungen, die Landebahnen für alle Flüge auszuschalten. Diese Informationen stellte Sprecherin der Irischen Luftfahrtbehörde Lilian Cassin zur Verfügung.
Die Dubliner Flughafenbehörde verkündigte, es habe sogar auch ein Notsituationstreffen gegeben, auf dem man sich bemühte, möglichst viele Flüge zu gewährleisten. Auch die Ingenieure von Thales werden auch in der Nacht arbeiten, sodass das Problem gelöst wird. Jedoch, trotz aller dieser Bemühungen, wird die Irische Luftfahrtbehörde kritisiert, dass sie das Problem nicht gelöst hatte, bevor man in den aktuellen Zustand geraten ist, wenn hunderte Passagiere auf andere irische Flughäfen wie Belfast, Cork oder Shannon geschickt wurden. Zusätzlich mussten sie dann noch 4 oder 6 Stunden zurück nach Dublin fahren.
Wie es dem so ist, konnte die Funktionsstörung des Radars nicht in einem anderen Monat passieren. Es musste dazu gerade im Juli kommen, wenn das Reisen von Touristen den Höhepunkt erreicht. The planet is like our own house, if you don’t take care of it, it will fall down on us. People should be more and more aware of the dangers that pollutions represents. Few people in leading positions actually think about ecology and this important aspect. The Mayor of New York, Michael Bloomberg, is one of the and cheers to his efforts.
Having a great vision, Bloomberg is moving at a slow pace towards its fulfilling and the Broadway Boulevard is part of the plan. He wants to reduce New Yorks’ traffic pollution and search for other alternatives to cars. As it is, Broadway Boulevard will be an esplanade starting from 42nd Street eight blocks south to the busy shopping district of Herald Square and joined by a pedestrian walkway with cafe tables and umbrellas. The project costs $700000 and is materialized by the Fashion Center Business Improvement District together with the city's Department of Transportation and they hired even a consultant, Jan Gehl, urban designer from Copenhagen.
There is no sure date for when the esplanade will be ready to use, but it is expected somewhere mid-August. This should encourage bike riding and walking that are good not only for the environment, but also for health. Realizing the importance of a safe world and that by saving the planet we save ourselves, even New York transportation officials are considering alternatives to cars. Bravo, but if they only manage to set an example by giving up the comfort of their own cars, the project would be complete.

Avand o viziune mareata, Bloomberg se indreapta cu pasi marunti catre indeplinirea ei. El vrea sa reduca poluarea cauzata de traficul din New York sis a caute alterantive la mersul cu masina. In consecinta, Broadway Boulevard va fi o esplanada ce va pleca de la strada 42 opt strazu pana la districtul aglomerat de magazine al Pietei Herald si insotit de o promenade cu masute de cafea si umbrele. Proiectul costa in intregime $700000 si este pus in practica de Fashion Center Business Improvement District impreuna cu Departamentul Transporturilor si au angajat chiar si un consultant, Jan Gehl, un designer de urbanistica de la Copenhaga.
Nu este nici o data sigura pentru finalizarea proiectului si darea esplanadei in folosinta, dar se asteapta a fi gata undeva in mijlocul lui August. Asta ar trebui sa incurajeze mersul cu bicicleta si plimbarea care sunt bune nu doar pentru mediul inconjurator, dar si pentru sanatate. Realizand importanta unui mediu sigur si a faptului ca salvand planeta ne salvam de fapt pe noi, chiar si oficialitatile transportului New York-ului se gandesc la alternative la masini. Bravo, acum doar daca ar reusi sa dea un exemplu personal si sa renunte la masinile personale proiectul ar fi intr-adevar complet.

Diese Woche findet in Quebec City in Kanada das Treffen des Weltkommitees von UNESCO statt. Die Vertreter diskutieren dort darüber, welche Weltmonumente und Welterbestätten auf die UNESCO-Liste eingetragen und welche von denen, die auf der Liste bereits stehen, auf die Liste der gefährdeten Weltkulturerbestätten hinzugefügt werden sollen. Sie können aus vielen Vorschlägen aus allen Teilen der Welt wählen, sogar die Slowakei bemüht sich darum weitere Monumente auf die Liste eintragen zu lassen. Ich bin wirklich neugierig, ob das gelingt.
Immerhin beinhält diese spezielle Liste bereits 851 verschiedene Monumente und Orte aus ungefähr 150 Ländern auf der ganzen Welt. Ich denke, dass jede Regierung und wahrscheinlich auch die Bürger aus den gegebenen Ländern, die etwas Außergewöhnliches in ihrem Land zu bieten haben, entweder natürlichen oder menschlichen Ursprungs, das sie der ganzen Welt zeigen und es auch schützen wollen. Meiner Meinung nach sind die auf der Liste eingetragenen Monumente und Weltkulturerbestätten attraktiver und stellen eine große Versuchung für Touristen dar. Das bedeutet einerseits ziemlich hohe Einnahmen ins Budget, andererseits kann der Ort immer mehr und mehr beschädigt werden wegen der großen Anzahl von neugierigen Touristen.
Ein Punkt des Treffens diese Woche beschäftigt sich mit dem am meisten besuchten Ort in Peru, mit der altertümlichen Zitadelle Machu Picchu. Diese Kulturerbestätte steht seit 1983 auf der UNESCO-Liste und innerhalb den letzten 10 Jahren verdoppelte sich die Besucherzahl auf 800 000 Besucher pro Jahr. Daher sind einige Architekten, Archäologen und Einwohner besorgt, es könnte komplett zerstört werden, wenn es nicht auf die Liste der gefährdeten Weltkulturerbestätten gelangt. Auch die Bürger der in der Nähe stehenden Stadt Cuzco, die auch auf der Liste zu finden ist, protestieren gegen einen Plan des Staates, der eine Ausbreitung von privater Entwicklung in der Stadt und in der Nähe davon unterstützt. Es gibt also verschiedene Meinungen über die Zukunft der Zitadelle und ihrer Umgebung. Die Vertreter des Plans wollen Aguas Calientes, eine Stadt in Nachbarschaft von Machu Picchu, attraktiver machen, indem sie eine Ausbreitung und einen Aufbau neuer Hotels, Restaurants usw. erlauben. Gleichzeitig behaupten sie, solange es die Möglichkeit gibt, die Stadt auszubreiten, bliebe die Zitadelle unberührt.

Meiner Meinung nach sind die Einwohner über die vielen Besucher in ihrer Umgebung nicht gerade glücklich, da diese irgendwann in der Zukunft ihr Erbe und Kulturmonument zerstören können, auf das sie so stolz sind...

How Shaka Zulu Changed the World by Radka Konkolova

Nature in almost every part of the world has been hiding some secrets. Every year the amount of them is decreasing, but there is still something unexplored by people from mature civilisations. For example few months age there scientists and travelers disovered a tribe somewhere in the African forests, where the members of the tribe haven’t ever seen people dressed in such „strange“ clothes. So travelers started immediately to look for some information about these people, their customs and culture.

But there were many similar cases during the long history. But sometimes they were uncovered too late. Anyway, scientists now can repare old bones or old equipment used by those people and can create a picture of people and the way of their living from hundreds or thousands years ago. I think this is very useful and interesting for many people and thanks that we can compare the life of people living here, in Europe with those in Africa living in the same epoch.

There is one very interesting story about the leader of one African tribe. He was brutal and fearless warrior as well as the symbol of African unity. His name was Shaka Zulu and it was he who created and led the tribe of Zulu’s who were inhabitants of South Africa in that time. His tactics was very similar to those known from ancient Sparta.

Because he was very cruel, he was able to manage and lead all members of that tribe. Thanks to him they became warriors. Their weapons were completely changed, they were more fixed, stronger and had got very sharp blade which replaced meantime used spears. Shaka Zulu taught them how to use those weapons and how to be successful in the battle. He was physically and strategically very strong. That was the reason why he decided to be a leader. So he manage new attck formations and a strict code of obedience. So every man in the tribe was a member of such a strong and big army of about 200,000 inhabitants. This tribe was even expanding very fast. All of these happened in the beginning of the 17th century. In 1828 Shaka Zulu was assassinated, but this wasn’t mean the end of his army.

Shaka started to fight and train troops because of new groups of people that had inhabited in the South Africa. It had been for example British, who had wanted to acquire that area for their crown. And because the interests of every group were usually the same, this led to very many battles and wars.

Becausse this group of people was very strong, fearless and cruel as well, there have been some cheap jokes about European missionaries being cooked up in big, bubbling pots. I would like to know wheter they have really been canibals...

Boarding passes with ads by Claudia Sonea

The current situation of America’s economy seems to have no ending. The credit crunch, the sluggish housing market and the oil price that topped $145 a barrel are the main issues that have made things crumble like dominoes. The good’s price rose sharply, the consumer index fell, the unemployment rate soared, companies filled bankruptcy and so on and so forth.
Airlines have also been affected and their reports on Wednesday show big time losses in spite of job cuts, higher fares, a charge for the second checked baggage. They will continue lying off employees, canceling flights, but they will also add ads on boarding pass to compensate the expensive fuel.
Delta Airlines is the first of the six airlines (American Airlines, Northwest Airlines, US Airways Group Inc., Continental Airlines Inc. and UAL Corp.'s United Airlines) who partnered with Sojern and will begin selling online boarding passes displaying ads and coupons, weather information and promotions for their destinations. It is left at the customers’ decision whether the boarding passes will have ads or not. Starting Tuesday the ads will be available for flights to Las Vegas and soon for all flights.
Rumor has it that the airlines will get 40 percent of the revenue and will be split between them (all six), but there has been no confirmation. Mainly the interest of the airlines is to not upset the customers and Josh Weiss, managing director for Delta's Web site and self-service, added that that is the meaning of being optional. The boarding pass will be limited to one page as before. Up to this moment there are no personalized ads, but probably somewhere in the future that will be possible.
It doesn’t harm anyone and it might prevent fares from going up, so I strongly recommend for people to do it. I know I will. Enjoy it!

China was in the center of the attention this year and that due to the fact that the Olympic Games were awarded to it. The fact that is the country host of the Olympics is not the only reason for such a fuss over the country. Actually, by hosting the Games China’s flaws become a matter of interest therefore protesters found the best mean to express their malcontents.
Up to this point the Olympic torch was boycotted as a sign of protest against the crackdown in Tibet, the pollution and other similar reasons. After on May 12, 2008, China was hit by a terrible earthquake and the government showed such an understanding and promptitude in their rescue actions people’s mentality changed and China become an ally in their prayers to God.
Now, all that interest is the good part about the country. So the latest piece of good news is that Beijing will fulfill its promise to reduce vehicle circulation starting this Sunday. Two new subway lines and a new rail line have just been finished and will be in use serving millions of passengers, according to Zhou Zhengyu, deputy director of the Beijing Municipal Committee of Communications. The Olympics will open in about three weeks and Beijing's intense traffic represented an issue, thus the new locomotion means will keep about half of Beijing's vehicles off the road during the Olympics. As privileged guests of the Olympics you’ll have two subway lines at your disposal, while the new rail line links the Airport Line to Beijing's central business district.
Although the changes are not so big, it sure represents an evidence of the importance that the Chinese government gives to the Olympics. All critics of Jacques Rogge will have to bite their tongue. Will British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and German Chancellor Angela Merkel change their minds and actually attend the Games? Don’t go away, more to come…

Iraq´s governemnt is trying to advertise tourism. It is really surprising that iraq´s officials are doing it, as this country has been over the past two decades no-go zone for almost everyone. In 1990 country could not be entered because of sanctions for hussein´s attack on Kuwait and then in 2003 Iraq caught the dictator and there were marks of violnece everywhere. As the violnece is declining during the last year, the government is promoting tourms.
Of course the tourism is mainly for pilgrims who are special kind of visitors. They go mainly to the holy cities of Najaf and Karbala, where thy expect to have doubled the number of visitors that should come this year. They do net represent any danger or harassment and they are informed about the possible difficulties they might face.
However, if iraq wold be a peaceful place, visitors would have many places to visit there. For example the National Museum, wchich has been closed for public, contains many relics. Another place is the ancient city od Babylon where were located the Hanging Gardens or the city of Ur, whichc was in the past a capital of Sumerian civilization adn also the home of Abraham, the prophet.
However, all these places are still roaring with emptyness. The biggest concern of Iraq is safety and therefore they will need a few risk-takers who would invest the new hotels or upgrade the old one. But no mater what, Iraq still stays the most undiserable place to visit becuase of its turbulent and extreme domestic situation. And any tourist who came there was feeling the potencial for danger although the situation in Baghdad and other cities is much calmer.

It is the summertime and many people travel on holiday. It does not matter if you travel on holiday or on a business trip, because the easiest way how to travel and also the fastest is the airline transport. Many people like to travel by a plane because it is very comfortable and the airline companies travel to many destinations. Some people are afraid of flying and they prefer another means of transport. But imagine that you are travelling from London to Athens. What do you think is the best way how to come to the Athens? Yes, by the plane, because it is simple, not so expensive and you save lot of your time. But the prices of airtickets are increasing in the last days. What is the reason? The fuel costs are still higher and higher and three American airlines reported losses in the second quarter as the price of fuel has sharply increased.
First of them is UAL Corporation with loss in the amount of 2.73 billion dollars, second is US Airways with the loss of 567 million dollars and third is JetBlue with the loss 7 million dollars. These losses led to increasing the prices of tickets, imposing a fee for checking bag and the corporations will decrease the number of flights.
We can expect more reductions next year. Because the situation with the price of fuel will be worse, that means higher than today. And higher costs will certainly show in the prices which we will pay for the airtickets. The airline corporations would like to decrease their loss but this always feel the wallet of the passenger.

Bad news for the customers of Lufthansa, the German airline: strikes are canceling flights. The talks between the management and the service sector union Verdi failed thus pilots are threatening to go on strike. All information was offered to public by the airline’s spokeswoman.
On Tuesday 464 of 725 scheduled flights were cancelled on Lufthansa's Eurowings and Cityline carriers, while on Wednesday 525 flights will be grounded. The airline proved to be worthy of its reputation and did the best so that passengers get booked on trains. Up to this point there is no proper estimation of how many passengers had to deal with the effects of the cancellations. The situation worsened due to the fact that Pilots' union Cockpit joined Verdi and called the warning strikes. Germany's major airports like Frankfurt, Munich, Dusseldorf and Berlin's Tegel were affected.
Some are taking a great pleasure in what happens to Lufthansa. This being the case of the German division of easyJet, a British airline, that looks forward into a long period of strikes for its rival because it would give them a chance to win over business clients. Unit chief John Kohlsaat was the one confessing this malicious happiness in the daily Berliner Zeitung.
Thursday is the last day for workers to vote for interrupting work. Such a decision would cause a great deal Lufthansa, especially now in the summer holiday season. From what we can observe, the airline will definitely not reach its opening profit target as they promised. However, things can change in just one hour, one day. Stay connected!

Teniendo una gran visión, Bloomberg sigue paso a paso hacia su realización y el Broadway Bulevar es la parte del plan. Quiere reducir la contaminación de tráfico de Nueva York y buscar otras alternativas a coches. Broadway Bulevar será un paseo que comienza de la Calle 42 y sigue ocho bloques al sur al distrito comercial de Herald Square y unido por una zona peatonal con mesas de cafetería y paraguas. El proyecto cuesta 700000 dólares y es realizado por Fashion Center Business Improvement District junto con el Ministerio de transporte de la ciudad y aún contrataron a un consultor, Jan Gehl, el diseñador urbano de Copenhague.
No hay ninguna fecha segura cuando el paseo estará listo a usar, pero se espera en medio de agosto. Debería animar a la gente para usar las bicis y dar paseos que está bueno no sólo para el ambiente, sino también para la salud. Príroda takmer v každej časti sveta ukrýva nejaké svoje tajomstvá. Každým rokom sa ich počet znižuje, ale stále existuje niečo, čo sa ešte vyspelým civilizáciám nepodarilo objaviť. Na príklad, pár mesiacov dozadu objavili vedci a bádatelia kmeň niekde v afrických lesoch, kde členovia kmeňa nikdy nevideli ľudí oblečených v takých „zvláštnych“ šatách. Takže bádatelia sa hneď pustili do hľadania informácií o týchto ľuďoch, ich zvyklostiach a ich kultúre.

Ale počas dlhej histórie sa takýchto prípadov vyskytlo pomerne dosť. Ale niekedy boli objavené príliš neskoro. Každopádne, vedci teraz vedia opraviť staré kosti či nástroje, ktoré títo ľudia používali a vytvoriť tak obraz toho, ako títo ľudia spred stoviek či tisíciek rokov žili či vyzerali. Myslím, že pre mnoho ľudí je to veľmi užitočné a taktiež zaujímavé a vďaka tomu vieme porovnať život ľudí žijúcich tu v Európe s tými, ktorí v tom istom čase žili niekde v Afrike.

Existuje jeden veľmi zaujímavý príbeh o vodcovi jedného afrického kmeňa. Bol brutálnym a nebojácnym bojovníkom, ale taktiež symbolom zjednotenia Afriky. Jeho meno bolo Shaka Zulu a bol to práve on, kto vytvoril a viedol kmeň Zuluov, ktorí boli v tom čase obyvateľmi Južnej Afriky. Jeho taktika bola veľmi podobná tej, ktorú poznáme zo starovekej Sparty.

Pretože bol veľmi krutý, bol schopný riadiť a viesť všetkých členov kmeňa. Vďaka nemu sa z nich stali bojovníci. Ich zbrane sa úplne zmenili, boli pevnejšie, silnejšie a mali veľmi ostrú čepeľ, ktorá nahradila dovtedy používané oštepy. Shaka Zulu ich učil, ako majú tieto zbrane používať a ako byť úspešným v boji. Bol fyzicky a strategicky veľmi silný. Aj to bol dôvod, prečo sa rozhodol byť vodcom. Takže vytvoril nové bojové formácie a prísny kódex poslušnosti. Takže každý muž v kmeni bol členom takejto silnej a veľkej armády pozostávajúcej približne z 200 000 obyvateľov. Tento kmeň sa dokonca veľmi rýchlo rozširoval. Všetko toto sa stalo na začiatku 17. storočia. V roku 1828 bola Shaka Zulu zavraždený, ale to vôbec neznamenalo koniec jeho armády.

Shaka začal bojovať a trénovať vojenské jednotky kvôli novým skupinám ľudí, ktorí začali obývať Južnú Afriku. Boli to napríklad Briti, ktorí chceli zabrať toto územie pre svoju kráľovskú korunu. A pretože záujmy všetkých skupín boli zvyčajne rovnaké, viedlo to k množstvu bojov a vojen.

Pretože táto skupina ľudí bola veľmi silná, nebojácna a taktiež krutá, vzniklo niekoľko lacných vtipov o európskych misionároch, ktorí boli uvarení vo veľkých, bublajúcich kotloch Rada by som vedela, či boli skutočne kanibali...

Zum Beispiel vor ein paar Monaten entdeckten Wissenschaftler und Reisenden einen unbekannten Stamm irgendwo in afrikanischen Regenwäldern. Die Mitglieder des Stammes haben noch nie Menschen gesehen, die so "merkwürdige" Kleidung tragen würden. Die Forscher fingen also an, Informationen über dieses Volk, seine Gebräuche und Sitten und seine Kultur zu sammeln.

Es ist aber nicht der einzige Fall einer solchen Entdeckung, in der Geschichte gibt es viele ähnliche Beispiele. Manchmal wurden sie zu spät entdeckt. Trotzdem können nun die Wissenschaftler alte Knochen oder alte, von den Völkern verwendete Ausrüstung reparieren und ein Bild von konkreten Völkern und ihrer Lebensweise vor tausenden Jahren herstellen. Ich glaube, für viele Leute ist es sehr nützlich und interessant und dank der Forschung können wir jetzt das Leben von in Europa lebenden Völkern mit dem Leben von in Afrika in der gleichen Epoche lebenden Völkern vergleichen.

Es gibt eine sehr interessante Geschichte über das Oberhaupt eines afrikanischen Stammes. Er war ein brutaler und angstloser Krieger und zugleich stellte er das Symbol der afrikanischen Einigkeit dar. Sein Name war Shaka Zulu und er war derjenige, der den Zulu-Stamm zusammenführte und leitete, der damals in Südafrika lebte. Seine Taktik war der aus dem altertümlichen Sparta ähnlich.

Da er sehr grausam war, war er in der Lage, alle Mitglieder des Stamms zu manipulieren und zu führen. Dank ihm wurden sie Krieger. Ihre Waffen waren komplett unterschiedlich, sie waren fester, stärker und hatten eine sehr scharfe Klinge, die die zu der Zeit hauptsächlich verwendete Spieße ersetzten. Shaka Zulu brachte ihnen bei, wie sie mit den Waffen umgehen sollen und wie sie in einer Schlacht erfolgreich sein können. Physisch und strategisch war er sehr stark. Das ist der Grund, warum er beschloss, Führer zu sein. Er stellte also neue Angriffsformationen auf und verlangte einen hohen Grad an Gehorsam. Folglich war jeder Mann im Stamm Mitglied einer so großen und starken Armee mit ungefähr 200 000 Männern. Dieser Stamm expandierte auch sehr schnell. All das ereignete sich am Anfang des 17.Jahrhunderts. 1828 wurde Shaka Zulu bei einem Attentat ermordet, das bedeutete aber nicht das Ende seiner Armee.

Shaka kämpfte und trainierte seine Truppen, da neue Volksgruppen ein Südafrika einsiedelten. Es handelte sich zum Beispiel um die Briten, die das Gebiet zugunsten ihrer Krone erobern wollten. Und da die Interessen aller Gruppen üblicherweise die gleichen waren, führte das zu vielen Schlachten und Kriegen.

Takmer v každom kúte sveta skrýva príroda nejaké tajomstvá. Každý rok sa ich množstvo zmenšuje, ešte stále ich ale zostáva dosť, ktoré nie sú preskúmané rozvinutými civilizáciami. Napríklad pred pár mesiacmi objavili vedci a cestovatelia jeden kmeň niekde v afrických pralesoch. Členovia kmeňa ešte nikdy nevideli tak "divne" poobliekaných ľudí. Bádatelia začali teda bezprostredne zbierať informácie o tomto kmeni, o jeho zvykoch a kultúre.

V dlhých dejinách sa ale nájdu viaceré podobné prípady. V niektorých prípadoch boli podobné kmene bohužiaľ objavené príliš neskoro. Našťastie dokážu súčasní vedci zrekonštruovať staré kosti alebo staré vybavenie, ktoré tí ľudia používali a vytvoriť si tak predstavu ľudu a jeho spôsobu života pred tisíckami rokov. Podľa môjho názoru to je pre mnoho ľudí veľmi užitočné a zaujímavé a vďaka tomu môžme porovnávať život ľudí žijúcich v Európe a tých, ktorí žili v tom istom období v Afrike.

Shaka Zulu ich naučil, ako majú tieto zbrane používať a ako vyhrávať v boji. Fyzicky a strategicky bol veľmi silný. Z toho dôvodu sa rozhodol byť vodcom. Vytvoril nové bojové formácie a vyžadoval vysokú mieru poslušnosti. Každý muž v kmeni bol následne členom veľkej a silnej armády s približne 200 000 mužmi. Okrem toho sa tento kmeň aj veľmi rýchlo rozširoval. Toto všetko sa udialo na začiatku 17. storočia. V roku 1828 bol Shaka Zulu zavraždený, to ale neznamenalo koniec jeho armády.

Shaka začal bojovať a formovať vojská, lebo do Južnej Afriky prichádzali nové skupiny ľudí, aby sa tu usídlili. Boli to napríklad Briti, ktorí si chceli v mene koruny podmaniť územie. A keďze záujmy všetkých skupín boli zvyčajne rovnaké, viedlo to k mnohým bitkám a vojnám.

Kmeň Zulu bol veľmi silný, nebojácny a tiež krutý, a preto vznikli lacné vtipy o európskych misionároch, ktorých vraj varili vo veľkých bublajúcich kotloch. Rada by som vedela, či boli naozaj kanibali...

De fapt, fiind gazda acesti eveniment defectele sale au devenit o chestiune de interes major deoarece protestatarii si-au gasit cel mai bun mijloc de a-si exprima nemultumirile.
Pana acum torta olimpica a fost boicotata ca un semn de protest impotriva desfasurarii de forta armata in Tibet, a poluarii si alte motive similare. Dupa ce pe 12 martie, 2008, China a fost lovita de un cutremur teribil si guvernul a aratat o asa intelegere si promptitudine in actiunile sale de salvare, mentalitatea oameniilor s-a schimbat si subit China a devenit un aliat in rugaciunile catre Dumnezeu.
Acum tot ce conteaza este partea buna a tarii. Asadar ultima veste buna este ca Beijingul isi va indeplini promisiunea de a reduce circulatia vehicolelor incepand de duminica. Doua noi linii de metrou si una noua de tren tocmai au fost terminate si vor fi date spre folosinta a milioane de pasageri, conform lui Zhou Zhengyu, director prim al Comisii de Comunicare al Municipiului Beijing. Olimpiada va incepe in aproximativ trei saptamani si traficul intens al Beijingului a representat o problema, astfel ca noi mijloace de locomotie vor tine aproape jumatate din vehiculele Beijingului departe de strada in timpul Jocurilor. Ca si oaspeti privilegiati ai Olimpiadei vom avea la dispozitie doua noi linii de metrou, in timp ce o linie de tren va lega aeroportul de centru de afaceri al Beijingului.
Desi schimbarile nu sunt enorme, in mod cert reprezinta o dovada a importantei pe care guvernul chinez o accorda Jocurilor Olimpice. Toti criticii lui Jacques Rogge isi vor inghiti limba acum. Va merge pana la urma si Primul Ministru Britanic Gordon Brown si Cancelarul German Angela Merkel la Olimpiada? Nu plecati, urmeaza...
