When to Buy an Airfare?
by Daniela Simkova
Have you ever wondered about the pricing of the airfares? I wonder how it works, why some airfares are cheaper than others and why their cost still increases or decreases. When all the special offers appear on the screen and when all the airlines show their updates for the available seats? Assen Vassilev, a co-founder of the Lessno.com Web site and the company's CEO says: "Our experience with airlines has shown us that they update available seats around 12 a.m. Eastern time every day." The special offers are usually released and automatically added on Thursday, at night. Then you can assume, if you seek for the cheap airfare, that the best time for booking your airfare is the late night on Thursday. Important thing is to book your airfare off the travel season. Some travel destinations are cheaper during the winter and in other cases the price erupts to the top. Obviously the price of an airfare is higher when the Christmas or any other holiday is coming that means that you should book your airfare long before the holiday or some time after the holiday. The best you can do is to stay informed about all the special offers. The airlines usually offer this service, they will keep you posted though your e-mail so then you should not have any problems to find a cheap airfare.
