Up to this point the winds keep the course towards southeast. Nevertheless, you should take care at the levels of sulfur dioxide that could serious put your health at risk. Due to the fact that the fume was moved by the wind mostly to the ocean, people are not endangered in any way. Most of the geologists say that there is no possibility to know when it will happen and that it is the most intense eruption seen in decades. You still have a chance to see it, because the national park and the visitor center will remain open, except trails heading to Halemaumau Crater and part of Crater Rim Drive.
