Virgin Atlantic reducing CO2

Virgin Aircraft has performed the first flight ever where the commercial airplane was fueled with environmentally friendly biofuel. The experiment flight was provided form London to Amsterdam. It fetched a zeal to show that using this kind of fuel can abate the carbon dioxide produced by common jet aircrafts. This fuel consisted of mixture of coconut and babassu oil in one of four main fuel tanks. The pilots and technicians were present on the board, but the plane carried no passengers.There were discussions over the test flight as it was seen from several points of views. There was an approval on one side, claiming that the attempt could bring an essential virtue in connection to knowledge of reduction of carbon dioxide footprint. On the other side, there were some resolutions passed as the scientists are still faltering the benefits of biofuels to environment.The airline's president Sir Richard Branson expects this advancement to be carried out even sooner than it has been awaited. In addition to this, the company aims to change the way of landing as well as develop such engines which will burn fuel much slowlier.Even the airlines analysts appreciate the Branson's effort to invest billions into the ambition to reduce the aviation impact on climate. In spite of the fact that biofuels produce certainly much CO2 than common jet fuels, it will take some time to make an exact analysis of this flight.As aviation has enormous effects on global worming and global dimming by dust and gases emissions blocking the sunbeams to penetrate through this, it is at least of some appreciation that such experiments are carried out.
